Meet Ivana

Co-Founder of CatVana Learning Centre & Teacher

Specialisms: Special Educational Needs, English Language and Literature and Maths

Qualifications: Post Graduate: PGDE Primary Education. First Degree: MA General studies with a focus on Ancient History, English Language and Philosophy (University of Edinburgh Scotland).

I love to read and get lost in all the different worlds in my imagination. For the same reason, I have always loved to travel and have been all over the world. I think dogs and children are the best things in the world (and nature of course). I love to swim in the sea and to hike in the mountains. I love to laugh and be with the people (and animals) whom I love.

I have over 14 years of teaching experience and am a qualified British Teacher. Every child is a unique world in their own right, and deserves to have the respect and care of all the adults who work with them. Each and every child has a right to learn in their own way and it is our job as educators to find the right path for that child. My main philosophy is that children need to primarily feel safe, cared for, and understood;  as well as providing them with opportunities to become curious, independent and motivated to persevere until they achieve their own full potential.
